Important Announcement

As you know, COVID-19 has hit the United States and the number of cases is growing rapidly. We have been monitoring national, state, and local directives. Most recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging a nationwide halt to gatherings of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks, including sporting events. First Strides falls under this category. To that end, First Strides Spring 2020 is cancelled. While we have a no refund policy, we are working out details to make this as fair and equitable to all parties during this challenging outbreak. We ask for your patience as we finalize information. Please be well and stay healthy!

About First Strides

Do you  imagine yourself fit and strong, striding comfortably down the road during an easy workout or a 5-K race? This gradual 10 week program will help you comfortably progress from the couch to walking, jogging or running at a pace that’s right for you.

First Strides® meets weekly, offering presentations on topics from what to wear to injury prevention. We then stretch and do a group walk/run. Please come dressed for activity.

Women from ages 12 to 112 are welcome to attend. Bring your daughters, mothers, neighbors, co-workers and friends.

Our mentors are First Strides® graduates,  Women’s 5K Classic committee members and Lehigh Valley Road Runners (LVRR) members.

First Strides® is now a participating member of the LVHN My Total Health reimbursement program.
